Baby 2!

We made an announcement to our families and friends over Christmas, we are expecting baby number two in 2014!

We are excited, we are scared, and I'm feeling as though we need to make extra sure we savour every single moment we have as a family of three because it's about to change forever.

To be honest, I am more scared for the delivery this time around. You'd think it would be the other way around. I guess since I know what to expect other than the pain, push, birth. So much can happen, and it's beyond my control.

But that's what pregnancy is like. It's a near constant worry and wondering if everything is okay. Especially in the beginning, you don't feel pregnant, unless you're sick. If you're sick and symptoms subside then you worry something is wrong. If you don't feel pregnant or sick or tired or different in any way you can't help but wonder. If you have an ultrasound you hope everything is okay, you worry that it's not, you wonder what you will do if it's not okay. Your first appointments when you're getting dates figured out and tests and ultrasounds, you hope and pray you won't get any unpleasant surprises. Later in pregnancy if you haven't felt the baby move much all day you worry. Pregnancy is a lot of worry.

But it's also beautiful. You've created life, there's a person inside you whose heart is beating and who can hear your heart beating. Pregnancy is beautiful for many reasons.

***i just dozed off typing this. One of the perks of pregnancy is you can pretty well fall asleep quicker and easier than before.

Goodnight!
