I found out yesterday that a very close friend of mine got in a bad car accident. He was airlifted to the QEII in Halifax and is in serious condition in the ICU. The doctors have told him he suffered severe injuries to his lower spinal column and as a result, will spend the rest of his life in the confines of a wheelchair. He cannot feel or move his legs. He had a breathing tube and a chest tube, and he survived his first major surgery. I wish I could be there with him for support.
